- We work with the athlete to understand other needs (e.g., no-trade clauses, bonuses, incentives, etc.) and find solutions to contract impasses.
- 8180 serves as a buffer between the team and player to find solutions without deteriorating relationships.
- Marketing opportunities:
- We collaborate with the NFLPA’s group licensing program and use our own resources to find additional exclusive marketing opportunities.
- If a player already uses a marketing agent, 8180 is happy to provide advice and guidance while not interfering with that relationship.
- Ensuring player rights are protected:
- 8180 Sports ensures that NFL athletes knows their rights and address any issues in a timely manner.
- We work with the NFLPA to address injury issues (including workers compensation and injury settlements) and disciplinary matters.
- Maximizing benefits and planning for post-NFL life:
- Players pay for their CBA benefits (which include health, education, finances, and physical/mental well-being). We educate players so they can obtain the full value of their NFL employment.
- While we can’t give financial advice, we encourage our clients to enlist an NFLPA-certified financial advisor, and we work with the financial team to help the player reach his long-term goals.
